Jennifer Wu

Jennifer Wu is a Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University, specializing in American Politics and Political Methodology. Her research uses surveys and text analysis methods to study politician messaging in the United States and how voters perceive their statements. Specifically, she studies differences in how Democratic and Republican voters perceive politician comments, within the context of politician incentives to be uncivil.

As a SRC fellow, she is working on using large language models in conjunction with survey responses to label comments made by politicians on the Congress floor as uncivil or not.
